Prochima GLS-50 silicone rubber

GLS-50 Liquid rubber for casting.

Liquid rubber for casting with a cold cure by poly-condensation. Is can reproduce even the finest detail, as it can penetrate everywhere, so it is suitable to make mono-valve moulds of little and detailed objects, such as figurines, statuettes etc.

Pot-life is rather long : 1 hour, while the complete vulcanization takes 18 -20 hours. To accelerate this process, put the blend in a warm place ( 30 C°), but remember that a too fast reaction dos not allow the escape of air bubbles.

Before using, add to the rubber 5% of T 30 catalyst. Always batch the two components by weight, if an accuracy scale is not available, use a syringe and batch by volume, but only for the catalyst: 1cc = 1 gr. For the rubber this is not possible, because its specific weight is 1,2.

Silicon rubbers are non-stick materials, so a mould release agent is not required.
